Sanjiv has over Twenty-Eight years of experience in sustainable development sector after completing Masters in Agricultural Engineering in 1990. He has experience in working for national and multinational Steel, Power, Mining and Oil & Gas companies in wide range of social development sectors such as skill development, livelihood, education, watershed, renewable energy, water & sanitation, agriculture, environment, and health care etc. Some of the key clients he worked for, include NMDC, REC, JSPL, SAIL, ONGC, SESA GOA, ACC, CAIRN India, Tata Energy, Moserbaer, Adani, Bhilai Steel Plant and Ambuja Cement. He has extensive experience in working in conducting Social Impact Assessment (SIA), Community Needs Assessment, Social Return on Investment (SROI), Human Development Index and Quality of Life Index studies; preparing Resettlement & Rehabilitation (R&R) plan, Stakeholder Management Plan, Business Drivers Linked Social Management Plan; and planning, managing, monitoring & evaluation, execution and impact assessment of social development and CSR projects.
Key assignments that he was involved in the recent past are: Adani Enterprises – Human Development Index and Quality of Life Index study in 6 R&R villages of Mining projects in Sarguja Chattisgarh for submission to MoEFCC; Industrial Energy Limited a JV of Tata Energy and Tata Steel - Social Impact Assessment and Social Return on Investment (SROI) of CSR projects in 48 villages in Kalinganagar (Odisha) and Jamshedpur (Jharkhand); SESA GOA- Baseline Socio Economic Survey, Business drivers linked CSR plan, Stakeholder management plan in around 140 locations including Municipal councils in North and South Goa; CAIRN ENERGY - Baseline Socio Economic Survey and Detailed CSR Project Plan including Impact Assessment of CSR interventions in 140 Villages of Barmer; Vedanta Aluminium - Social Impact Assessment of CSR Intervention and Detailed Project Plan in Jharsuguda; JSPL - Providing technical support for Strategic CSR and R&R Road Map in Raigarh, Angul and Patratu including Presentation to MoEF for Environmental Clearance; International Network for Sustainable Energy (INforSE) - Study on Sustainable Energy Technologies for Poverty Reduction in South Asia. Action for Food Production (AFPPRO) - planning and management of watershed projects and promotion of renewable energy through around 100 NGOs in most of the States of India.
